ASRC IlluminationSpace Community Hours

  • ASRC IlluminationSpace Community Hours
  • Curious about the Advanced Science Research Center? Learn more about our five research initiatives at the ASRC IlluminationSpace.
  • At the ASRC IlluminationSpace, located at the Advanced Science Research Center of The Graduate Center of The City University of New York, students explore five exciting and interconnected areas of science — nanoscience, photonics, structural biology, neuroscience, and environmental sciences — in a fun and supportive environment to encourage a deeper understanding of how science shapes our everyday lives.
  • Through interactive motion and touchscreen games and engaging conversations with researchers, visitors learn about the ASRC’s initiatives, inspiring them to search for science in the world around them.
  • -          Families, after-school programs, and adults are encouraged to visit during Community Hours, held on the first Monday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reservations are encouraged and are required for groups larger than 10. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • -          High school field trips to the ASRC IlluminationSpace are available most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
  • Field trips and Community Hours are free to participants.
