Two PhD candidates from The City College of New York have been named the 2015-16 NanoFab Fellows at the CUNY Advanced Science Research Center’s (ASRC) Nanofabrication Facility.
Shawn Mishra (Biomedical Engineering) and Tal Galfsky (Physics) will have access to the world-class nanofabrication processing tools at the ASRC, in an effort to become technical experts and strengthen their career marketability. They will also serve as ambassadors for the ASRC at their campus and research groups by transferring knowledge and techniques.
The CUNY ASRC NanoFab is a shared research space open to students, faculty, research staff, government and industrial partners. The ASRC NanoFab is among the most advanced cleanroom facilities on the East Coast, meeting class 100, class 1,000 and class 10,000 standards, comparable to the one now closest, at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

About the ASRC: The new CUNY Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC) is a University-wide venture that elevates CUNY’s legacy of scientific research and education through initiatives in five distinctive, but increasingly interconnected disciplines: Nanoscience, Photonics, Structural Biology, Neuroscience and Environmental Sciences.
